dc.description.abstractYirminci yüzyılın ilk çeyreğinde kurulan genç Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin siyasal gelişiminin yanı sıra ekonomikgelişimi de 1922’de tarih sahnesinden çekilen Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun somut ve düşünsel mirasıyla şekillendi.Cumhuriyet döneminin ilk ekonomik politikaları, İzmir İktisat Kongresi ile liberal bir eksene otururken, hemenardından imzalanan Lozan Antlaşması’nın ticari hükümleri de ekonomideki belirleyiciliğini korudu. 1929 DünyaEkonomik Bunalımı ve İkinci Dünya Savaşı, Türkiye’de ekonomik alanda devletçi politikaların uygulanmasınasebep oldu. İkinci Dünya Savaşı’nın bitişi ile Türkiye’nin ABD ve müttefiklerinin yanında yer alması 1945’tenitibaren zorunlu liberal bir ekonomin başlangıcı oluyordu. Demokrat Parti ile ivme kazanan serbest piyasa yılları,1960 darbesinde planlı kalkınmaya dönüştü. Ancak Türkiye’nin ekonomik gelişmede küçük mesafeler kat etmesine rağmen beklenen çıkışı yapamaması, siyasal gelişmelerle ekonomik gelişmelerin birbirini etkileyecek denli iç içe geçmiş olmasından kaynaklanıyordu. Türkiye’nin yeni bir ekonomik kalkınma hamlesiyle buluşması ise, ihracat odaklı yeni bir ekonomi modelini tercih etmesiyle gerçekleşti. Ne var ki ülkenin kolaylıkla krizlere sürüklenebilen sosyal ve siyasal sancıları, ekonomik gelişmesinin karşısında önemli bir engelleyici olarak varlığını korudu. İlk dönemler on yılda bir gerçekleşen krizlerle ekonominin sarsıntılar geçirmesi, 1980’den itibaren 3-4 yıllık bir süreye indi. Bu durum, 2000’li yılların başında siyasal istikrara bağlı oluşturulan kararlı ekonomik hamleye kadar devam etti. en_US
dc.description.abstractAlong with her political development, the economic development of the young Turkish Republic, founded in the first quarter of the 20th century, was shaped by the heritage of the Ottoman Empire. While the Republic’s first economic policies settled on a liberal axis with the Izmir Economy Congress, the Lausanne Treaty, signed immediately afterwards, remained decisive in the economy. The 1929 World Economic Depression and World War II caused the implementation of statist economic policies in Turkey. By the end of the War, Turkey took place alongside the US and its allies. This was the start of an inevitable liberal economy beginning from 1945. The free market years, which gained momentum with the Democrat Party, turned into a planned development with the 1960 coup. Turkey’s failure to rise economically was mainly due to political and economic developments affecting each other. The meeting of Turkey with a new economic development initiative was due to the implementation of a new exportoriented model. However, Turkey’s social and political obstacles remained an important economic hurdle. The economic crises, which used took place every ten years, started to take place every 3-4 years since 1980. This situation continued until the decisive economic move based on political stability in the early 2000s.
