Abstract
Gemilerden kaynaklanan hava kirliliği hakkında Uluslararası Denizcilik Örgütü’nün (IMO) öncülüğünde düzenlenen MARPOL 73/78 Ek VI, 19 Mayıs 2005 tarihinde yürürlüğe girmiştir. Türkiye, halen MARPOL 73/78 Ek VI’ya taraf olma çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir. Bu çalışmamızın konusu, MARPOL 73/78 Ek VI ile getirilen temel düzenlemeler ve Türk Hukukunda gemilerden kaynaklanan hava kirliliği hakkında yasal düzenlemelerin ve hukuki sorumluğun değerlendirilmesidir.
MARPOL ANNEX VI has entered into force on 19 May 2005. Turkey has not ratified the Appendix VI, yet. The intention with this paper is to highlight some of the important aspects of MARPOL 73/78 Appendix VI and Turkish law legislation regarding prevention of air pollution from ships.
