Developing technology and diversifying labour force transform the modern work environment into a complex and dynamic structure. In this case, the importance of factors such as leadership, motivation and job satisfaction increases. These factors shape the corporate culture and also have an impact on employees' experiences and performances. Cinema can be used as an effective tool to visually represent these issues and enrich academic discourse. The film ‘The Intern’ deals with issues such as leadership, motivation and job satisfaction in a work environment where people with different backgrounds collaborate. The film focuses on the relationship between a young CEO and a former intern and successfully reflects the impact of corporate dynamics on individuals. The purpose of this study is to analyse the film ‘The Intern’ in terms of organisational behaviour. Concepts such as narrative, leadership styles, employee motivation, generational differences and organisational climate are examined. An organisation is a social entity created for a purpose, facilitated in terms of coordination and communication, and situated within a wider social context. This entity has a specific identity and differs from other organisations. Organisational identity is created through organisational climate processes and organisational climate refers to the collective behavioural patterns of the organisation. Organisational climate is a concept based on the perceptions and experiences of individuals within the organisation. Understanding this concept helps in understanding of policies, procedures and practices within the organisation. Organisational climate, together with the attitudes and behaviours of individuals, affects the reputation and performance of the organisation. Although the concept of organisational climate is complex, it is related to employees' perceptions and plays an important role in determining the social environment within the organisation. The concept of leadership is universal and has played an important role in history. Ancient and Medieval philosophers such as Aristotle, Plato and Machiavelli discussed the concept of leadership. Leadership has developed and changed in response to the demands of the modern era. However, providing a precise definition of leadership is difficult and leads to ambiguity. Terms such as power, authority, and leadership are used interchangeably in discussions of leadership, which increases the confusion between them Researchers have defined the concept of leadership in different ways. Leadership literature has purpose any definitions. Leadership can be defined in terms of personality traits, behaviours, influence, interaction patterns and the impact of administrative position. Leadership requires a combination of skills, knowledge and understanding in an organisational context. The word motivation is derived from the Latin word movere meaning to move and in psychology it describes the intrinsic motivational elements that direct an individual's actions towards a specific goal. In the context of the workplace, motivation refers to the use of individuals' mental, physical and cognitive resources in a manner compatible with organisational goals. Motivation refers to an individual's tendency towards achieving predetermined goals by utilizing personal desires and willpower. Ensuring motivation in the workplace is possible by creating an environment that meets the expectations of both the company and the employees. Conflict gives information about the definition of organisational conflict, the characteristics of those involved in conflict, the causes of conflict and the social context in which it occurs. Factors such as different goals, values and perceptions among individuals and groups, as well as the scarcity of resources can cause conflicts. Such conflicts can hinder organisational success. Factors that play a role in the emergence of conflict include the the distribution of responsibilities, lack of consensus, opposing views and incompatibility. Directed by Nancy Meyers, this film follows 70-year-old Ben Whittaker as he returns to his post-retirement career and his experiences at a fashion company. The film can be considered a romantic comedy-drama and Ben is the first person to be accepted into an unprecedented internship programme. Ben's colleagues assign him to work with and get him to work with the young CEO named Jules Ostin. Ben guides Jules in both business and personal matters and helps him balance his professional and family responsibilities. Ben's experiences and perspective on old age have a significant impact on Jules's life. This film highlights that older people can still actively participate in business and offer a different perspective to younger generations. The film focuses on intergenerational cooperation and leadership competencies. The importance of organisational climate is emphasised and how a flexible and innovative working environment should be structured it is stated that the organisational climate should include strong relationships between employees and a participative leadership approach. However, workload and company expansion can sometimes create stress and this can affect the organisational climate. Leaders play an important role in maintaining this balance. The leadership styles of the characters in the film also stand out: Jules Ostin's ability to inspire and value her employees is highlighted, while Ben Whittaker's natural leadership skills are also emphasized. This film shows that leadership is not tied to age or position and emphasises the positive influence of the leader on employees.
