Özet
Kalite yönetimi, neredeyse yüzyıldır imalat ve hizmet süreçlerinin temel taşı olarak ifade edilebilecek bir olgudur. Büyüyen küresel rekabet, otomotiv endüstrisindeki şirketleri de kalite ve verimliliğin daha da arttırılması yönünde zorlamaktadır. ISO/TS 16949 standardı, dünyanın lider otomobil üreticilerinin bir araya gelerek oluşturdukları Uluslararası Otomotiv İş Gücü platformu tarafından geliştirilmiş olan global bir sistem standardıdır. Bu standart, tasarım geliştirme, imalat, montaj ve ilişkili servisleri kapsayan süreçleri içeren bir kalite yönetim sisteminin oluşturulmasını öngörmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, ISO/TS 16949 KYS kapsamında gerçekleştirilen kalite uygulamaları ile firma performansı (finansal ve süreç performansı) arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırma modeli ve hipotezlerin, otomotiv sektöründe faaliyet gösteren bir ana üreticinin tedarikçilerine yapılan anketler vasıtasıyla test edilmesi hedeflenmektedir.
Quality management has been a mainstay of the manufacturing and service operations for nearly a century. Increasing global competition has forced companies in automotive industry to improve quality and efficiency. The ISO/TS 16949 standard is a worldwide standard developed by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), a group of the world’s leading manufacturers and trade organizations. It defines the quality management system (QMS) requirements for the design, development, production, and when relevant, installation and service of automotive-related products. The purpose of this study is to examine the relation between the ISO/TS 16949 QMS practices and the firm performance (financial and process performance). A research model and hypotheses are tested by using survey data collected from suppliers of a main manufacturing firm in the automotive industry.
