Özet
Ermeni Göçü Osmanlı Hükümetince çıkartılan tehcir kanunu çerçevesinde gereklilik ve hoşgörü prensibi dahilinde uygulanan resmi bir yasadır. Dönemin gerekliliği olarak uygulanan bu yasa Ermeni diasporasının ve Ermeni komitelerinin vatan savunması esnasında birlik olarak karşıt güç oluşturmaları sonucunda meydana gelmiştir. Ermeni milliyetçiliği ile alakası olmayan tüm dünyanın birbiri ile savaştığı Osmanlının ise pek çok cephede bu savaşı sürdürdüğü esnada yıllar boyu Osmanlı egemenliğinde refah içinde yaşayan Ermenilerin dış güçlerle bir olarak içerde kargaşa ve isyanlar çıkarması neticesinde ülkenin güneyine nakli gerçekleştirilmek zorunda kalınmıştır.
