Özet
Üniversite öğrencilerinin girişimcilik niyetleri, girişimcilik eğitiminden olumlu yönde etkilenebilir. Ancak, üniversiteler genellikle bu tür yatırımlara öncelik vermezler. Üniversite öğrencilerinin girişimcilik niyetlerini etkileyen bir diğer unsur da kişiliklerinin bir bileşenini yansıtması nedeniyle kültürdür. Dolayısıyla bu çalışma girişimcilik eğitimi ve kültürünün üniversite öğrencilerinin kendi işlerini kurma niyetlerini nasıl etkilediğini anlamayı amaçlamaktadır. Buna göre İstanbul ilinde girişimcilik eğitimi almış 213 üniversite öğrencisine anket uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri incelendiğinde, girişimcilerin bir iş kurma niyetlerinin hem kültür hem de girişimcilik eğitiminden önemli ölçüde etkilendiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu nedenle üniversiteler, öğrencilerin girişimciliğe yönelik niyetlerini geliştirmek için girişimcilik eğitimine daha fazla odaklanmalıdır. Daha fazla iş fırsatı yaratabilmek için üniversiteler girişimcilik eğitimi müfredatı ile pedagojik yaklaşımları uyumlu hale getirmelidir. Bunun yanı sıra lisans öğrencilerinin kendi işlerini kurabilmeleri için gerekli bilgi ve becerileri geliştirebilmeleri adına girişimcilik derslerine özel önem vermeleri gerekmektedir.
Entrepreneurial intentions of university students would be positively impacted by entrepreneurial education. However, universities typically do not prioritize this type of investment. One another aspect that influences university students' entrepreneurial intentions is culture, as it reflects a component of their personalities. Therefore, this study aims to understand how entrepreneurial education and culture affect university students' intentions to launch their own businesses. Accordingly, the survey was administered to 213 university students in Istanbul who have taken any of the entrepreneurship courses. Examining the study's data showed that entrepreneurs' intentions to launch a business were significantly influenced by both culture and entrepreneurial education, as a result, Universities should focus more on entrepreneurial education to improve students' intentions toward entrepreneurship. To focus more on creating businesses, universities must align their entrepreneurship education curriculum and pedagogical approaches and they must give special attention to entrepreneurship education courses so that undergraduate students can develop the skills and knowledge necessary for self-employment.
