| dc.description.abstract | Amaç: Bu çalışma, farklı istek ve beklentileri ile tercih yapan özel okul velilerinin, çocuklarının okullarından memnuniyetlerini ölçmek için kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı geliştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Yöntem: Bu ölçek geliştirme çalışmasında öncelikle detaylı bir literatür taramasıyla memnuniyet kavramının boyutları keşfedilmiştir. Daha sonra uzman görüşlerine başvurularak, özel okul velileri için okul memnuniyetini etkileyen boyutlar belirlenmiştir. Belirlenen boyutları ölçecek nitelikte 81 ifadeli madde havuzu oluşturulmuştur. Kapsam geçerliği Lawshe tekniği ile irdelenmiştir. Düzenlenen ölçek formuyla İstanbul ilindeki özel okul velilerinden oluşan örneklemde (n=300) veri toplanmış ve Açımlayıcı Faktör Analizi (AFA) uygulanmıştır. AFA neticesinde belirlenen yedi faktörlü yapı Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi (DFA) ile test edilmiştir (n=387). Daha sonra güvenirlik, Cronbach Alfa katsayısı, Omega, madde toplam korelasyonları, AVE ve CR değerleri hesaplanarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: AFA sonucunda, yedi faktörden oluşan toplam 26 maddeli 5’li Likert tipi bir ölçek geliştirilmiştir. Ölçeğe ait açıklanan toplam varyans %87,80, maddelerin faktör yükleri 0,50 ile 0,83 arasında hesaplanmıştır. Faktörler; iletişim ve ulaşılabilirlik, güven/güvenlik, eğitim/öğretim, rehberlik, fiziki koşullar, sosyal ve sportif imkanlar ve ücret olarak adlandırılmıştır. Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi (DFA) yedi faktörlü yapıyı onaylamaktadır. Güvenirlik analizi, Cronbach Alfa katsayısı (0,95), Omega (0,95), madde toplam korelasyonları (0,66–0,84), AVE (0,54) ve CR (0,80) değerleri hesaplanarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Özgünlük: Bu çalışmada geliştirilen ölçek, özel okul velilerinin çocuklarının okullarından duydukları okul memnuniyeti anlayışımızı destekleyecektir. Çalışma bulguları, ebeveynlerin okul memnuniyetini anlaması, öncelikleri belirlemesi ve velilerin okul memnuniyetini artırmak için harekete geçmesi yönünde okul yöneticilerine pratik çıkarımlar sunmaktadır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Purpose: This study aims to develop a valid and reliable scale to assess parental satisfaction in private schools. Method: The initial phase of the study involved item generation in the light of an extensive literature review and consultation with experts. Subsequently, the dimensions influencing parental satisfaction in private schools were identified. and the item pool consisting of 81 statements was developed to assess each dimension. The Lawshe method was used to assess the content validity. The draft scale form was applied to the sample of 300 private school parents in Istanbul. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and reliability analysis showed that the scale with 26 items and seven factors was appropriate to evaluate the level of private school parents’ satisfaction. Each factor was interpreted and titled as communication and accessibility, trust and security, education and training, guidance, physical conditions, social and sportive opportunities, and price, respectively. To assess the seven-factor structure of the scale, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was employed on a sample of 387 parents from private schools in Istanbul. The analysis confirmed that the seven-factor structure was valid. Findings: As a result of the principal axis factoring (PAF) extraction technique and Varimax rotation method, a seven-factor structure which explained 87.80% of the total variance was developed. The construct validity of the scale was confirmed as it satisfied the fit criteria of RMSEA:0.08, CFI:0.95, and Chi-square/df:3.9. In the reliability analysis, the Cronbach ? value for each factor was calculated, and the values were found to be between 0.92–0.97. As a result, it was determined that the Parental Satisfaction in Private Schools Scale, consisting of 7 sub-dimensions and 26 items, was valid and reliable. Originality: The scale developed in this study will help us comprehend private school parents' school satisfaction. The study's findings can help private school administrators understand, prioritize, and improve school satisfaction for parents. | en_US |
