Özet

HVAC engineeers need design data for calculating energy consumption and indoor comfort quality parameters of buildings such as in heating and cooling conditions. There are various methods for the calculation of monthly or annual energy consumption, however, degree-hour and bindata methods are the simplest. Heating Degree Hours (HDH), Cooling Degree Hours (CDH) and Bindata values play significant roles in managing air conditioning equipment and in energy planning.During calculation phase, meteorological parameters should be analyzed accurately. In this study, the typical meteorological year of İstanbul was generated by SQL database programmimg language. The Finkelstein–Schafer statistical method was applied to analyze the hourly measured weather data of a 23-years period (1989–2012). Using the calculated the typical meteorological year data, heating hours and bindata values for İstanbul were calculated by using TMY values of Istanbul. The results were shown both in tabular and graphical form.
