Abstract
Günümüzde bir ülke ekonomisinin can damarını teşkil eden üretim sektörü, gerek mal gerekse hizmet üretimi olsun, önemini arttırarak sürdürmektedir. Artan rekabet ortamında, üretime verimliliğin, üretkenliğin ve kalitenin yükseltilmesi zorunluluğu işletmeleri üretim sistemlerinin daha titiz ve bilimsel olarak analizine, planlanmasına ve kontrolüne doğru yöneltmiştir. Bu ortamda, ortaya çıkan yeni yaklaşımlardan biri olan Tam Zamanında Üretim Sistemi, II. Dünya Savaşından sonra Japonya da uygulanmaya başlayan, stok maliyetini en aza indirgeyerek kaliteyi maksimum noktaya getirmeye çalışan bir sistemdir. Tam Zamanında Üretim, gereken miktarda, gereken zamanda ve gereken yerde ve istenilen kalitede üretim yapma felsefesi üzerine kurulu bir sistemdir
Today, one of the most important sector in an economy is the production sector, the importance of goods and services sectors are increasing fast every day. Until today, competitive conditions, efficiency, productivity and quality of production, forced the firms to put more emphasis on production systems. Therefore, the firms are more interested in scientific analysis, planning and controlling of the their production systems.As a result, one of the newest approaches is Just in Time (JIT) production system which emerged after WWII in Japan and aims to decrease the inventory cost and maximize the quality. The philosophy of this approach is to produce the necessary amount of production, when and where needed at the required quality.
