Özet
Çalışma yaşamı kadınlar için eşitsizlikler ve çeşitli sorunlar içermektedir. Bu sorunların temelinde cinsiyet eşitsizlikleri yer almaktadır. Cinsiyete dayalı ücret eşitsizliği de cinsiyet ayrımcı uygulamalardan kaynaklanmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, tekstil sektöründe yaşanan cinsiyete dayalı ücret eşitsizliklerinin tekstil sektörüne yansımalarını ve kadın işçilerin yaşadıkları sorunları uygulanan neoliberal ekonomi ve ücret politikalarına bakarak incelemektir. Bu araştırma derinlemesine görüşme ve gözlem yöntemleri kullanılarak yapılmış ve veriler söylem analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Genel olarak, tekstil sektöründe çalışan kadın işçilerin cinsiyet temelli eşitsizliklere uğradıkları, buna bağlı olarak ücret eşitsizlikleri yaşadıkları görülmüştür. Ayrıca sektöre özgü uzun çalışma saatleri, düşük ücretler, çalışma ortamının insan sağlığını olumsuz yönde etkilemesi biçiminde sorun ve durumlar gözlenmiştir. Bu konuyla ilgili olarak mevcut çok sayıda literatüre ek olarak, bu çalışma kadın işçilerin cinsiyet eşitsizliğinden kaynaklanan sorunlarına ve ücret eşitsizliğinin cinsiyet temeline vurgu yapmaktadır. Sonuç olarak kadınların işe giriş süreçlerinde, çalışma alanlarında ve işten çıkarılma süreçlerinde yaşadıkları sorunlar irdelenmiştir.
Working life includes inequalities and various problems for women. Gender inequalities are at the root of these problems. Gender-based wage inequality is also due to gender discriminatory practices. The aim of this research is to examine the reflections of gender-based wage inequalities in the textile sector and the problems experienced by women workers by looking at the applied neoliberal economy and wage policies. This research was conducted using in-depth interview and observation methods and the data were analyzed by discourse analysis method. In general, it has been observed that female workers working in the textile industry experience gender-based inequalities and accordingly, wage inequalities. In addition, sector-specific problems and situations such as long working hours, low wages, and negative effects of the working environment on human health have been observed. In addition to the large amount of literature available on this subject, this study emphasizes the problems of female workers arising from gender inequality and the gender basis of wage inequality. As a result, the problems experienced by women in their employment processes, working areas and dismissal processes were examined.
