| dc.description.abstract | Bir yerleşim alanının içini tıpkı insan vücudundaki kan damarları gibi saran ulaşım ağının genel fonksiyonu; insanların, her türlü hizmetin, üretilen ürün ve malların çevreyle uyumlu, verimli ve güvenli bir şekilde taşınmasıdır. Bunu sağlamak için iyi bir şekilde tasarlanmış olması, toplum için üst seviyede yarar sağlayan ve yapımı sırasında henüz oluşmamış ancak ileride ortaya çıkabilecek olası sorunları da dikkate alınarak yapılması gerekmektedir. Hızlı ve plansız kentleşmenin ortaya çıkarmış olduğu ulaşım sorunları sadece motorlu taşıtlarla aşılmamakta, alternatif olarak bisiklet gibi ulaşım alternatifleri kullanılmakta, yollar ve ulaşım ağları buna göre dizayn edilmektedir. Dünyada bulunan sayılı metropollerden birisi olan İstanbul aynı zamanda ülkenin en kalabalık nüfusuna da sahiptir. Bu kadar nüfusun güvenli ve konforlu bir şekilde ulaşım sağlayabilmesi için sadece motorlu taşıtlar ve toplu taşıma yeterli olmayacaktır. Yollardaki bu kalabalığın ve günün her saatine dağılmış olan trafik sorunlarının çözülebilmesi için bu çalışmada, doğadan yana çevreci bir ulaşım aracı olan bisikletin şehrimize katkılarını arttırmak, avantajlarını göz önüne sermek bisiklet ulaşımı ile ilgili sonraki çalışmalar için Avrupa’daki yapılmış olan akademik çalışmalar, Türkiye de yapılan akademik çalışmalar, WRI (Dünya Kaynakları Enstitüsü), TBB(Türkiye Belediyeler Birliği) işbirliği kapsamındaki sürdürülebilir şehir projeleri incelenmiştir. Türkiye Bisiklet Federasyonu faaliyet ve talepleri göz önünde bulundurulmuştur. Çalışma bu yönüyle oluşturacağı akademik çerçeve ile ileride yapılacak çalışmalara da yol göstermesi hedeflenmiştir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The general function of the transportation network that surrounds the interior of a residential area, just like the blood vessels in the human body; is the transportation of people, all kinds of services, products and goods in an environmentally friendly, efficient and safe manner. In order to achieve this, it must be designed in a good way, it must be done by taking into consideration the possible problems that may arise in the future, which have not yet occurred during its construction, and which provide a high level of benefit for the society. Transportation problems caused by rapid and unplanned urbanization are not only overcome by motor vehicles, but alternative transportation alternatives such as bicycles are used, roads and transportation networks are designed accordingly. Being one of the few metropolises in the world, Istanbul also has the most populous population of the country. Only motor vehicles and public transportation will not be enough for such a population to provide safe and comfortable transportation. In this study, in order to solve this crowd on the roads and the traffic problems that are scattered around every hour of the day, this study aims to increase the contribution of the bicycle, which is an environmentally friendly means of transportation, to our city, to reveal its advantages. academic studies, sustainable city projects within the scope of cooperation between WRI (World Resources Institute), TBB (Union of Municipalities of Turkey) were examined. The activities and demands of the Turkish Cycling Federation were taken into consideration.
