dc.description.abstractTarih boyunca kent ve ticaret mekânları birbirleri ile etkileşim halinde bulunmuşlardır. Bu etkileşim hem kentin hem de mekânların kimliklerini, işlevlerini, yapısal özelliklerini ve anlatılarındaki terminolojiyi etkilemiştir. Bu tezde antik çağlardan başlayarak gerek dünyada gerekse Türk- İslam coğrafyasında kentler ile beraber gelişen ticaret ve alışveriş mekânlarının fiziksel ve işlevsel dönüşümleri kronolojik olarak incelenmiştir.Çalışma yöntemi olarak gözlem ve kısa sohbetlerden yararlanılmış olan bu tezde, İstinyePark AVM araştırma alanı olarak seçilmiştir. Modern ve lüks AVM örneklerinden birisi olan İstinyePark AVM’nin geleneksel ticaret ve alışveriş mekânları ile arasındaki benzerlikler ve farklılıklar ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. İstinyePark AVM’nin kent dokularına benzer görüntüler sunan mekânlarında yapılan gözlemlerde bu mekânların AVM çalışanları ile ziyaretçiler açısından gerçek kent dokularını temsil edebilme durumları araştırılmıştır.Belli sınırlamalara göre yapılan bu tez, genişletilip derinleştirilmeye açık bir çalışma olarak düşünülmüştür. dc.description.abstractThroughout history, cities and commercial spaces have interacted with each other. This interaction has affected the identities, functions, structural features and terminology of both the city and the spaces. In this thesis, the physical and functional transformations of the trade and shopping spaces that developed together with the cities, both in the world and in the Turkish-Islamic geography, starting from ancient times, were examined chronologically.In this thesis, which used observation and short conversations as a study method, İstinyePark AVM was chosen as the research area. The similarities and differences between İstinyePark AVM, which is one of the modern and luxurious shopping malls, with traditional trade and shopping centers have been tried to be revealed. In the observations made in the spaces of İstinyePark AVM, which offer images similar to the urban fabric, the ability of these spaces to represent real urban patterns for the employees and visitors of the shopping center was investigated.This thesis, which was carried out according to certain limitations, is considered as a study that can be expanded and deepened.
