dc.description.abstractAraştırmanın amacı Batı Afrika'nın terörizm tarihini araştırmak, bunun Fildişi Sahili'ne olan güncel etkilerini ve Batı Afrika'nın terörizme olan cevabını incelemek. Bu durumdan en çok etkilen ülküler arasında yer alan Fildişi Sahili ve Mali gibi Sahraaltı ülkelerinde uygun bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Aynı zamanda Batı Afrika Devletleri Ekonomik Topluluğu'nun (ECOWAS) terörizm karşıtı politikası, Fildişi Sahili'nin güncel siyasi çerçeve de karşılaştığı zorluklar ve harekete geçme kapasitesini etkileyen unsurlar ele alınmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra araştırmada Batı Afrika'daki terörizm tehdidi ve Sahel ülkelerinde bu tehdide karşı alınan önlemler eleştirel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Bu araştırma boyunca ikincil nitel metod kullanılmıştır bunun amacı mükemmel bir değerlendirme olmuştur. Bunun için ayrıca sistematik ve tekrarlamalı bir yaklaşım, ayıklama ve yüksek kaliteye sahip araştırmalar analiz edilmiştir. Bu analizlerden veri elde edilmiştir. Bu araştırma Batı Afrika'daki terörizm tehdidini analiz etmede birçok katkı sağlamıştır. Bu tehdidin Fildişi Sahili'ndeki sebepleri ve güncel etkileri ve Batı Afrika'nın bu tehdidi karşı olan tavrı incelenmiştir. Aynı zamanda bu çalışmam Fildişi Sahili'nin ve Batı Afrika ülkelerinin terör saldırılarına karşı durması ve başarılı bir şekilde engellenmesi için: bir takım belirli önerilerde bulunmuştur. dc.description.abstractThe aim of the research is to examine the history of terrorism in West Africa, its causes and current manifestations in Côte d'Ivoire, and the West African response to Terrorism. A proper analysis has been done on terrorism in West African countries including Ivory Coast and Mali, the two most impacted nations in the sub region. The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) counterterrorism policy has also been covered in this research along with the issues and difficulties that Ivory Coast is facing in the current political environment throughout the world as well as the variables that influence its capacity to react. Furthermore, the study critically analyses the terrorist threat in West Africa and the measures taken by Sahel countries to counter this threat. During this research secondary qualitative methodology has been used for an excellent assessment of research that takes a systematic and iterative approach to finding, selecting, and analysing almost all high-quality studies and collecting and classifying data from these studies. This research has made several unique contributions examining the history of terrorism in West Africa, its causes and current manifestations in Côte d'Ivoire, and the West African response to Terrorism. Furthermore, this research has also made recommendations for specific actions and mechanisms to enable Côte d'Ivoire and West African countries prevent or successfully respond to terrorist acts.
