dc.description.abstractBu araştırmada 3-14 yaş arası hafif düzeyde zihinsel yetersizlik tanısına sahip bireylerin annelerine uygulanan aile destek eğitim programının, programa katılan bireylerin karşılaşabilecek güçlüklerle baş etme durumları incelenmiştir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum çalışması modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, İstanbul'da Sultangazi Fahri Aygün Rehberlik ve Araştırma Merkezi'nde hafif düzeyde zihinsel yetersizlik tanısına sahip çocuğu bulunan ve programa katılmaya gönüllü olan 18 anne oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubunun yarısına araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen aile destek eğitim programı uygulanmış, diğer yarısına herhangi bir çalışma yapılmamıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme ve aile destek eğitim programı değerlendirme formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümünde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda programa katılan ailelerin bilgi ve farkındalık düzeyinin arttığı tespit edilmiştir. Ailelerin ortak paylaşım yaptığı ve bilgi ve becerilerini arttırdığı aile eğitim programlarının ya da grup toplantılarının düzenlenmesi fayda sağlayacaktır. dc.description.abstractIn this study, the family support education program applied to mothers of individuals with mild mental disability diagnosis between the ages of 3-14 was examined and the status of the individuals participating in the program to cope with the difficulties they may face. A case study model from qualitative research patterns was used in the study. The study group consists of 18 mothers who have children with mild mental impairment diagnosis at Sultangazi Fahri Aygün guidance and Research Center in Istanbul and who are willing to participate in the program. Half of the study group underwent a family support training program developed by the researcher, while the other half did not carry out any studies. Semi-structured interview and family support training program evaluation form were used to collect the data. Content analysis method was used to analyze the data. In line with the findings, it was determined that the level of knowledge and awareness of the families participating in the program increased. Organizing family education programs or group meetings where families share in common and increase their knowledge and skills will benefit.
