Abstract
Turizm Pazarlama Stratejileri Bağlamında İstanbul'a Gelen Yabancı Turist Profili ve Seyahat Motiflerinin Belirlenmesine Yönelik Bir Araştırma<\> Bu çalışmanın amacı, turizm pazarlama stratejileri bağlamında İstanbul’a gelen yabancı turist profilini tespit etmek, turistlerin seyahat motiflerini etkileyen etmenleri ortaya çıkarmak, durum tespiti yapmak ve bu destinasyonun daha iyi pazarlanması için uygulanacak pazarlama stratejilerini belirleyecek verileri toplamaya yardımcı olmaktır. Bu çalışmada anket yöntemi ile 588 yabancı turist hakkında veri toplanmıştır. Anket, Taksim ve Sultanahmet meydanlarında bulunan turistlere uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca Taksim, Şişli, Sirkeci ve Sultanahmet’te bulunan bazı otellerin misafir odalarına anket formu bırakılarak veri elde edilmiştir. Bunun yanında İstanbul’u ziyaret eden turistlere online olarak link gönderilmiş olup, anket uygulaması yapılmıştır. Psikolojik, ekonomik, sosyal ve diğer faktörlerin (reklam ve tanıtım) turistlerin seyahat etme kararlarını üzerinde etkili oldukları görülmektedir. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre demografik değişkenlerin seyahat etme üzerinde etkili oldukları tespit edilmiş ve İstanbul’a gelen turistlerin büyük bir kısmı tatil amacıyla geldikleri anlaşılmıştır.
A Research on the Determination of Foreign Tourist Profile and Travel Motives Coming to Istanbul in the Context of Tourism Marketing Strategies The aim of this study is to determine the foreign tourist profile coming to Istanbul in the context of tourism marketing strategies, to identify the factors that affect the travel motives of tourists, to determine the situation and to collect data to determine the marketing strategies that will be applied for better marketing of this destination. In this study, data were collected about 588 foreign tourists by survey method. The questionnaire was applied to tourists in Taksim and Sultanahmet squares. In addition, data were obtained by leaving a questionnaire in the guest rooms of some hotels in Taksim, Şişli, Sirkeci and Sultanahmet. In addition to this, an online link was sent to the tourists visiting Istanbul and a questionnaire was applied. Psychological, economic, social and other factors (advertising and publicity) appear to have an impact on the travel decisions of tourists. According to the results of the study, it was determined that the demographic variables were effective on travel and it was understood that most of the tourists coming to Istanbul came for holiday.
