dc.description.abstractSosyal bir varlık olan insanın çevresiyle ve diğer insanlarla etkileşime başlaması muhatabını ikna etme, onlara kendi düşüncelerini benimsetme, onları ihtiyaçlar doğrultusunda sevk ve idare etme yahut onlardan yardım alma gibi süreçleri de kaçınılmaz olarak başlatmaktadır. Propaganda ise bu noktada tarih boyunca kitleleri ikna etmek için kullanılan başlıca araçlardan biri olmuştur. I. Dünya Savaşı yıllarında savaşın cephe gerisine yansıması ve yönetimlerin uzun süren savaşlarda halk desteğine daha çok ihtiyaç duyması gibi unsurlar propaganda alanındaki çalışmaları arttırmıştır. Propaganda alanındaki çalışmalarının sistemli hale getirilme sürecini ve bu süreçte uygulanan propaganda faaliyetlerini incelemek amacıyla yapılan bu çalışma, I. Dünya Savaşından itibaren sistemli halde yürütülmeye başlayan propaganda çalışmalarının II. Dünya Savaşı yıllarında daha kapsamlı olarak ele alındığını, kavramın bir disiplin halini almasında ise Nazi Almanyasının başat rol oynadığını ileri sürmektedir. Çalışmada tarihsel bir perspektifle I. ve II. Dünya Savaşlarındaki aktörlerin propaganda çalışmaları ve Nazi Almanyasındaki siyasi tutum ve otoritenin propaganda çalışmalarını bu örneklerden de hareketle nasıl sistemli bir halde yürüttüğü gösterilmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractWhen a human being, as a social entity, starts interacting with their environment and other people, they also inevitably initiate processes such as persuading their interlocutors, making them adopt their thoughts, directing and managing them in line with their needs or getting compliance from them. Propaganda has been one of the primary tools used to persuade the masses throughout history. In the years of the World War I, elements such as the spread of war outside the front-line and the governments needed greater support from the public the longer the wars went on have increased the work in the field of propaganda. This study, which has been carried out to examine the process of systematization of the propaganda activities and the applications of this process, has argued that the propaganda activities, which started to be systematic since the World War I, showed an increase in the years of the World War II, and that Nazi Germany played a key role in the propaganda concept becoming a discipline. In the study, the propaganda activities of the major players in World War I and World War II, and the political attitude in Nazi Germany and how the authority carried out its propaganda activities systematically, is shown from historical perspective and examples.en_US
