dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate the Solar Radiation Potential Atlas of Turkey. Basic regression analyses are done to estimate the monthly average daily global solar radiation on a horizontal surface and sunshine duration. Effects of basic parameters (latitude, longitude, elevation and month of the year) on them are evaluated for the selected cities representing distinct climatic zone of Turkey. High accurate equations are obtained both for global solar radiation depending on longitude and month of the year (R2=0.994) and sunshine duration depending of latitude and month of the year (R2=0.960).en_US
