Özet
Additional resources often need to be spent on post-certification (after approval of air worthiness) jobs in the aerospace sector because of maintenance, cost reduction, strategy and so on. For the case aerospace company, since engineering demand generally exceeds available resources, there needs to be an optimization technique to improve decision making in order to maximize the value realized from post-certification jobs. The approach that has been chosen is to develop a value index. Value dimensions have been developed. A multi-criteria decision making method is being adopted to create value functions for each dimension and to determine weights for the calculation of a value index.
