Internet penetration (IP) was used as the measurement criterion of digital divide. As an advantage of the developments in information systems, the use of electronic documents has become widespread and even compulsory in some applications. Although it is one of the areas where the benefits of electronic documents will be seen, the use of electronic documents in foreign trade has not become so popular. As the paper-based processes still prevail, it seems that there is a need for a radical and comprehensive change in this area. Although a long time has passed after the publication of eUCP, it has not produced the expected effect, which indicates the necessity of introducing new payment methods to replace letters of credit. In this article, a general evaluation was made within the framework of the latest developments and the possible effects of electronic documents on foreign trade were discussed with a proposal of a new payment method based on a single document.Öğe Yurtiçi mevzuatın uluslararası karayolu taşımacılığı yapan firmalar üzerine etkisi(İktisat ve Girişimcilik Üniversitesi, Türk Dünyası Kırgız – Türk Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü, 2015) Çemberci, Murat; Uca, Nagehan; Civelek, Mustafa EmreBu çalışma, mevzuatın uluslararası karayolu eşya taşımacılığı sektörüne etkisini bilimsel olarak ispatlamayı ve ispat sonucunda yöneticilere karar vermelerinde yardımcı olmayı amaçlamaktadır. Sektörde faaliyet gösteren firmalarda 192 geçerli anket sayısına ulaşılmış ve mevzuatın etkisinin alt boyutları belirlenmiştir. Analiz yöntemi olarak çoklu regresyon kullanılmıştır. Başlangıçta altı boyut esas alınmış olup, yapılan istatistiksel analizler sonucunda bu boyutlardan beş tanesinin rekabet gücüne etkisi ispatlanmıştır. Boyutlardan istatistiksel olarak anlamlı çıkanlar “İnsan Kaynağı ile İlgili Sorunlar (Araç Kullanıcıları)”, “Gümrükler ile İlgili Sorunlar”, “Cezalar ile İlgili Sorunlar”, “Sektöre Giriş Engelleri ile İlgili Sorunlar” ve “Yetki Belgeleri ile İlgili Sorunlar”dır.Öğe The mediator effect of logistics performance index on the relation between global competitiveness index and gross domestic product(2015) Civelek, Mustafa Emre; Uca, Nagehan; Çemberci, MuratLogistics sector plays a critical role in social and economic developments of a country. Therefore understanding the relationship among the logistic performance, competitiveness and prosperity of a country is important. Logistics Performance Index (LPI) firstly published by World Bank in 2007 and repeated in the years 2010, 2012, 2014. In this research the mediator effect of LPI on the relation between Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was aimed to analyze for the years 2007, 2010, 2012, 2014. The mediator effect was measured by using hierarchical regression analyses. As a result of the analyses, the mediator effect of LPI on the relation between GCI and GDP was found statistically meaningful. Consequently, the result of the research could be suggested that the logistics ability of a country dominated the relation between competitiveness and prosperity.Öğe The effect of the components of logistics performance index on gross domestic product: conceptual model proposal(2015) Uca, Nagehan; Civelek, Mustafa Emre; Çemberci, MuratDomestic and foreign trade are the most important components of the logistics sector.
