African economies which mostly constitute between underdeveloped and developing countries have been an important destination for foreign investors and received a great amount of FDI in the last recent years, However, many studies have debated if FDI is crucial to the economy of African countries compared to other developing countries who also received a good inflow of FDI. In this paper, it is aimed to examine the impact of FDI on Economic growth of African economies in the period between 2000-2017 and is deeply going to study if FDI inflow has influenced Economic growth by taking an example in the case of 9 African economies which are recently the fastest growing economies in Africa. The following paper offers an introduction to FDI with some explanation of different kinds of Foreign direct Investments, a brief history of FDI in the world and particularly in Africa and its relationship with Economic growth, and finally by concluding measurement of FDI impact on Economic growth in top fastest-growing economies in Africa. According to this research, using co-integration panel tests, the empirical results from the 9 fastest growing economies in Africa (2000-2017), indicates that the majority of the tests are significant and confirm that FDI has a significant long-run relationship with economic growth in these African countries.
