Yazılım ürünlerine erişim ve kullanımı içeren barındırma hizmetlerinden faydalanan müşteriler, bu teknolojinin sunduğu yazılım bileşenlerini sistemlerine uyarlamak veya kendilerine göre özelleştirmek için bir çok uygulama maliyetlerine katlanmaya başlamışlardır. Gün geçtikçe önemi artan söz konusu uygulama maliyetlerinin, niteliği itibariyle geleneksel yazılım maliyetlerinden farklı olması, muhasebeleştirilmesi açısından ayrı ele alınmasını gerektirmektedir. Bu çalışmada, konu ile ilgili tek standart olan Finansal Muhasebe Standartları Kurulu (Financial Accounting Standards Board-FASB) tarafından yayınlanan “Bulut Bilişim Hizmet Anlaşmaları İle İlgili Oluşan Uygulama Maliyetlerinin, Müşteri İşletme Tarafından Muhasebeleştirilmesi” başlıklı standart güncellemesi detaylıca incelenerek, bu bağlamda Uluslararası Finansal Raporlama Standartları(UFRS)’de yapılabilecek değişikliklere ilişkin bir bakış açısı sunulmuştur.As cloud computing based new softwares are widely used, the ownership and maintenance of software brought various types of costs. In order to adapt and customize the software components provided by this technology to their system, customers who benefit from hosting services arising from access and use of such services have started to bear with many implementation costs.
