The research investigated whether the socio-demographic variables used involve the aims of the environments in which young people develop. And it also tested whether there was a relationship between these variables and self-actualization. 247 university students (18 to 45 aged) in Istanbul Commerce University participated in this study. Personal Orientation Inventory (POI ) and the questionnaire including socio-demographic traits were utilized in the research. The results showed the different patterns between the subscales of the POI and the variables mentioned in the questionnaire.Bu çalışmanın amacı, bir grup üniversite öğrencisinin kişisel yönelimlerini belirlemek ve bazı sosyo-demografik değişkenlere göre incelemektir. Özellikle araştırma, sosyo-demografik değişkenleri test ederken, bunların bireylerin yetiştiği ortamın amaçlarını temsil edip etmediğini ölçmeye çalışmıştır. Ayrıca araştırmada bunların kendini gerçekleştirme ile ilişkili olup olmadığına bakılmıştır. İstanbul Ticaret Üniversitesinden 247 üniversite öğrencisinin (18 – 45 yaş) katıldığı çalışmada Kişisel Yönelim Envanteri ile Sosyo-demografik form kullanılmıştır.
