Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, Yükseköğretim Kurulu Tez Merkezinde yer alan 150 adet lisansüstü eğitim tezi analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre Türkiye’de 1990 ile 2017 yılları arasında, eğitim denetimi konusunda en fazla tez 2011 yılında yazılmıştır. Konu ile ilgili 43 ayrı üniversitede tez çalışması yapılmış, en fazla tez Yeditepe Üniversitesi’nde (21) üretilmiştir. Doktora kademesinde ise en fazla tez Fırat Üniversitesi’nde (3) üretilmiştir. İncelenen çalışmalarda en çok işlenen konu, denetime yönelik olarak eğitim paydaşlarının algı ve görüşleri başlığında toplanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında incelenen tezlerin çoğunda nicel yöntem ve tarama deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, eğitim denetimi alanında deneysel araştırmalara ve kuram geliştirmeye yönelik özgün çalışmalara ihtiyaç olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.The purpose of this research was to examine the postgraduate theses in the field of educational supervision in terms of different variables. Qualitative research method was used in the research. In the research, 150 postgraduate education theses were analyzed. According to the survey between 1990 and 2017 in Turkey, most of the theses were written in 2011. The theses were conducted in 43 different universities, and most of the theses were produced at Yeditepe University (21). At the doctoral level, the theses were produced mostly at Fırat University (3). Most of theses focused on the perceptions and opinions of the education stakeholders for supervision. In most of the theses, quantitative method and survey design were used. The number of theses with qualitative methods seems very low, and the number of theses using mixed methods seems insufficient.
