The scale assesses the incomplete experiences and unresolved conflicts which are important for the course of the grief. Methods: The sample of the study consists of 334 participants who are over 18 years, experienced a loss at least six months prior to survey. The average age is 30.30 +/- 13.40 years. Results: Confirmatory Factor analysis results indicated that two-factor model was a good fit to the data. Criterion validity analysis result showed that there was a strong correlation between the UBBS-Brief and the Complicated Grief Inventory. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient for total score was 0.75. Conclusion: Consequently, the Turkish version of the USSB-Brief has adequate psychometric properties.
