Araştırma kapsamında yükümlülerin demografik durumları, eğitim düzeyleri, iş arama süreçleri, aile özellikleri ve toplumsal dışlanma süreçleri incelenerek kronik suç ve mükerrer suçluluk durumları gün ışığına çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca suç ve ceza kavramları Denetimli Serbestlik sisteminin Batı'da ve Türkiye'deki tarihsel gelişimi üzerinde durularak yeniden değerlendirilmiştir. Öte yandan, yükümlülerin cezaevi öncesi ve sonrasındaki yaşamları irdelenerek bireyin cezaevi sonrası yaşamındaki mahpusluk etkisi ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bununla birlikte Türkiye için yeni bir ceza infaz anlayışı olan Denetimli Serbestliğe yönelik yükümlülerin bakış açıları gösterilmek istenmiştir. Bu minvalde Bakırköy Denetimli Serbestlik Müdürlüğü'nde amaca yönelik örneklem yoluyla seçilen infaz süreçleri devam eden 66 yükümlü ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir.This thesis analyses the relation between the socioeconomic status and the crime profile of criminal offenders who are discharged from prison on conditional release and continue their criminal enforcement processes in Bakırköy Probation Directorate. Within the scope of the research, the demographic status, education level, family characteristics, work seeking and social exclusion processes of criminal offenders were examined in order to try to bring to light the reason behind their chronic and repeated crimes. In addition, the concepts of crime and punishment are re-evaluated with the emphasis on the historical developement of probation system in both the West and Turkey. On the other hand, the lives of criminal offenders before and after prison were investigated to try to reveal the effect of imprisonment on their post-prison life. In the meantime, it is aimed to present the views of criminal offenders on probation which is a new criminal enforcement consept for Turkey.
